ÉLAN Dining House is a fictional restaurant. This website is a demonstration template published by Elite Digital Services (EDS). The restaurant, its address, team, reviews and reservations are illustrative; the policies below describe what this demonstration website actually does, written so that a real restaurant can replace the bracketed details with its own.
Who is responsible for this website
For the demonstration, the website operator and controller of any personal data is Elite Digital Services (EDS), the agency that built this template. The restaurant shown, ÉLAN Dining House at Avenue des Arts 58, Brussels, does not exist.
Demo placeholder — replace before a real launch: the restaurant’s legal name, legal form, registered address, enterprise number, email address and telephone number of the controller.
What we collect and why
- Reservation requests — date, time, party size, first and last name, email, phone and optional notes. Purpose: handling the reservation you asked for (steps prior to a contract). On the WordPress version of this site the request is stored privately and emailed to the restaurant; on the public demonstration site (static hosting) requests are checked in your browser and by a small function on the host but are not sent to anyone and not stored.
- Contact messages — first and last name, email, phone, reason, optional location and your message. Purpose: answering your enquiry (our legitimate interest in replying, and your consent given with the form). Same demonstration limits as above.
- Consent record — a first-party cookie named
eds_consentholding only your privacy choices, the policy version and a timestamp (no identifier). Purpose: respecting your choices (necessary). - Optional services you can allow — page translation through GTranslate/Google (Preferences) and the Google Maps embed (Marketing). They load only after you allow them; see the Cookie Policy.
- Technical data — the hosting provider processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. The demonstration site is intended for Cloudflare Pages.
Who receives data
- Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery, abuse protection) for the public demonstration site.
- Google Ireland Ltd.: only after your consent, for translation (via GTranslate Inc.) and the embedded map. Google may transfer data outside the EEA under its own safeguards.
- Email provider of the restaurant: on the WordPress version, reservation and contact notifications are sent by email to the restaurant.
- No data is sold, and no analytics or advertising trackers are used on this website.
How long we keep data
Reservation requests and contact messages stored by the WordPress version are kept for as long as needed to handle them and are deleted or anonymised no later than 12 months after submission, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. The consent cookie expires after 6 months. The public demonstration site stores nothing you submit.
Demo placeholder — replace before a real launch: the restaurant’s actual retention periods.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and data portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Cookie choices can be changed under “Cookie settings” in the footer. To exercise your rights, contact the controller named above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be) or the authority of your place of residence.
Changes
This notice was last updated on 11 October 2026 and will be revised when the website’s processing changes.
This text documents the demonstration website and is not legal advice. A real restaurant must have it reviewed for its own processing, services and jurisdiction.
